Now, from Friedman's gleeful approval and endorsement of this as a strategy that will achieve the aims he wants, it is clear that Friedman is actively egging on Israel to do more of the same, kill more civilians, and visit more devastation upon them. And it is also clear that he is beseeching his readers--who are voters in the country that is bankrolling and supporting this mass murder--to continue supporting it. This only difference with Osama Bin Ladin’s statement in that Bin Ladin was not as categorical and specific about inflicting suffering on civilians.
